The position involves close interaction with Offshore Wind Sales and Project Managers, experts from Engineering, Suppliers, EPC Contractors and local Hitachi Energy units worldwide.

Your responsibilities
  • You will develop, implement and continuously track the tender sourcing strategy for large tender Offshore projects in the area of system integration, in close coordination with Sales/Tendering and Engineering
  • You develop and continuously update the project procurement plans for Offshore projects in the execution phase
  • You proactively expedite your supplier contracts
  • You analyze the international procurement markets
  • You obtain and compare suppliers offers for the main equipment and services needed for our Offshore projects
  • You manage your Suppliers (supplier development, qualification, evaluation)
  • You conduct negotiations with the suppliers and conclude the contracts under consideration of complex customer and project requirements
  • You handle the procurement process in close cooperation with the project team
  • You manage contractual disruptions with suppliers (claim management)
Your background
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Management or Electrical / Industrial Engineering
  • At least 3 years experience in Project Supply Chain Management within project business, preferably in the energy segment
  • Experience in the Offshore market is preferred
  • Very good negotiation skills combined with a diplomatic way of closing business deals
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel
  • Great intercultural skills and interest in working within an international team
